The plan for my easter holiday was to drive to Anja Hass, licensed Bent Branderup Trainer to have a full week of training hands-on and life at her beautiful place in the Black Forest, which is a few hours’ drive from my place. This was booked already last year, and I looked very much forward to it.
However, life got in the way and due to some unforeseen circumstances, I had to cancel my trip. Thanks to Anja being flexible and to the modern internet, we just changed to online teaching. I received 2 lessons a day, which is a good way to work on tiny details over and over to get more consistency in a certain process especially to create new pathways in my brain. By repeating new habits over and over it sticks more into your system.
I have filled already pages on different approaches, ideas, and tips while rewatching my videos. I also realized how wonderful it is to be taught in my own language. I can’t even remember when I had my last lesson in German. It must be many years.
Lucano is doing very well with two lessons a day. He was never squeezed like that before, but I think being at home helps him to find enough relaxation in between.
I am very grateful to have the opportunity to learn from different trainers. Everyone I met so far is unique with a lot of knowledge and has a special way of teaching. They all add little pieces to my personal path and my horse’s progress.
There was nothing fancy nor spectacular to see but the beauty lies in the basics. The feeling of melting together like a centaur is just fantastic. If you want to follow my progress make sure to check the horse blogs or facebook.
