Collected trot
Recently I have been working more on collection with Lucano. He can now trot along at a steady pace without losing his rhythm. He is such a charming horse and simply my dream horse par excellence.

I love doing liberty dressage from time to time. Lucano is predestined for this. He now keeps a steady, balanced canter around me. That wasn’t always the case at the beginning, but with time, patience and lots of praise, you always make a little progress. And at the end of the day, it’s being together
At the moment I am working Lucano in Shouder-fore/ Shoulder-in on a circle. Unexpectedly, it seems more challenging for us than thought. One big topic in my lessons with Anja Hass, licensed Bent Branderup Trainer was how light and manoeuvrable the shoulder is….at any time? So, therefore, we introduced a neck rope to Lucano so

This is a nice example of what I meant in my last Liberty post about being congruent with the aids. That we act at Liberty the same as when we would work with tools. We should not change our mental picture, our energy and body language. Trusting the process and rewarding every slightest try is

As important it is to shift the center of mass away from the front legs to prevent injuries as important it is to allow the horse a good stretch over the topline into a forward down as well. For me, a proper forward down is when the horse is really searching towards the hand/line with
Love my eagle view camera….even though it is not perfect but I see enough to evaluate myself and try better the next time. Filming yourself is so important and I do it constantly.
